There are two ways your display properties dialog box can be viewed. An easy way is to right click on your current desktop and choose the Properties option from the menu that appears.

Another way to view these properties is from your control panel. Your control panel can be reached from the Settings tab in the windows Start menu. Once you are in the Control Panel, double click on the Display icon to view the display properties.
