German School Shooting in Winnenden, Germany

There has been a shocking German school shooting after a teenager dressed in black combat gear went on a bloody rampage at his former school in Germany.

At least 15 people are thought to be dead. The gunman has been killed in a shootout with police after commandos with helicopters and dogs launched a man hunt for the 17-year-old gunman.

The gunman killed nine students and three teachers at the school, and a few others at a nearby clinic in Winnenden, Germany.

Students jumped from windows after the gunman opened fire, according to news reports.

It is Germany's worst shooting since another teenage gunman killed 16 people and himself in 2002.
