Flutteroo has announced that it is closing with immediate effect in a message to its users: "It is with regret that the Directors of Bargain Retailing confirm that the business has ceased trading with immediate effect and the site is no longer operating. As further details are available please refer to the appropriate site holding screen which will be updated. In the meantime all customer accounts have been frozen and no refunds or shipments will be made." So what can you do? Can you get a refund? We talked about this Penny Auction site some time ago so we feel its our duty to help those of you that have already paid Flutteroo for bid tokens or shipments. In fact, we're going to mention two ways in which you can take action for undelivered shipments due to the sudden closing. 1. If you paid by credit card, and have not been delivered the items you paid for, you can contact your credit card company to stop the payment. This will take some time but should eventually get you your money back in 30-60 days. 2. If you paid by PayPal, and were not delivered the items you paid for, you can request a refund directly through your account. You can do this by going to the particular transaction then clicking the Refund request link. This will be a little quicker than the credit card once PayPal can verify you were not sent the items. So even though Flutteroo is adamant that it will not give your money back with a refund, both ways will get you a Flutteroo refund without dealing with Bargain Retailing itself. Please share this link with your friends or family if they use Flutteroo. We hate to see any company pull these tactics and think they can get away with it.
