Zlurp! is a program for ripping CD tracks, encoding them to MP3 or WMA
format, and tagging them (has CDDB support). It has a good interface
and is easy to use. Other features include normalization, extended
artist information from other sites and more.
IrfanView is a small but versatile image file viewer. It will view
and convert a multitude of formats, including jpg/jpeg, gif, bmp, dib,
rle, pcx, dcx, png, tiff, tga, ras/sun, ico, cur, ani, avi, wav, mid,
rmi, wmf, emf, pbm, pgm, ppm, iff/lbm, psd, cpt, eps, clp, cam,
mpg/mpeg, mov, lwf, aif, g3 and photo-cd. You can instantly set
graphics as Windows wallpaper or resize them, plus you can use a
variety of viewing options, including rotating, flipping, and zooming.
IrfanView also features a handy preview option, thumbnail option,
drag & drop support, slideshow, fast directory view, batch conversion,
audio CD player, print option, change color depth, scan support,
cut/crop, effects (sharpen, blur, photoshop filter factory etc.),
capturing, and more.
The Magical Jellybean Dictionary is a freeware dictionary client for
Windows 95/98. It connects to a dictionary server and retrieves the
definition from a database on the server. It can now connect to any
server via the INI file.
Regfixer is a tool designed to help you find and remove registry keys
related to non-existing COM components. This program is intended for
use in a development and test environment for COM components. It will
help you keep your registry in a consistent state which will prevent
errors caused by faulty registry entries. It is always a good practice
to make a backup of the registry before making any modifications.
Partition Resizer lets you resize, move disk partitions and logical
drives, without having to re-format your hard drive. It supports
almost any type of DOS or Windows file system, including FAT12, FAT16
and FAT32 and works with extended partitions. Hard drives up to 2
Terabytes in size are now supported. New features include: Int13
extensions support allows handling of disks up to 2TB (2048GB) of
size, new resizing/moving engine, with simpler interface, move and
resize your partitions in one step and more.
This is a light weight alternative to sending mail using resource
hungry mail clients such as Outlook Express. It can catch
clicks in Internet Explorer, can format email in HTML, has an HTML
preview feature and more.

Free games and jigsaw puzzles are fun for games lovers. AlterJig is
one of them, it is a set of tile-based jigsaw games and puzzles. You
select graphics supplied with the games or create your own puzzles
from any bitmaps. When you select "new game", AlterJig scrambles the
puzzles and challenges you to restore the pictures by rotating groups
of four tiles to get the tiles back to their proper positions. Tile
rotation is controlled by left and right mouse buttons. It sounds
easier to solve than it is. There is a brief help file, but the demo
mode helps you understand the games, which are pretty self-
explanatory.
