The Fort Hood shooter has been identified as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
The shooter was killed and two other suspects, who are also soldiers, have been apprehended.
Hasan was a 39-year-old army psychiatrist.
He received his training from F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in Bethesda, Md., according to records and had recently been reassigned to Fort Hood from Washington.
