Want to take a look at the Cash for Clunkers list but not sure if your old clunker qualifies? A lot of Americans have already been trading their old eligible cars for a fat government rebate of $3,500 to $4,500 to get their aging gas guzzlers off the road. But how do you find out if your car qualifies for eligibility on the cash for clunkers list? The government's official listing of eligible vehicles can be found at FuelEconomy.gov, or directly at the page below. The site lists almost every vehicle that has been sold in America since 1984. The program is officially called CARS (Car Allowance Rebate System), but it's been come to be known by the better name of Cash for Clunkers. There are rumors that the government plans to suspend the popular program amid concerns it could quickly use up the $1 billion in rebates for new car purchases.
